hi! nice hack, helps a lot so thanks. the only problem i ran into is that i cannot change post title font size. i mean.. the changes i make in template editor won't affect the post title font size. the color changing part works just fine. some advise please?

@ Jennifer James, Hi! I think you've already completed the step 6 of the tutorial. Codes are there. As you suspected, there is an additional line of code which is responsible for post title color. So, find the following code in your HTML:

.post h3 {
margin-top: 5px;
font-size: 175%;
font-family: Georgia;
font-weight: Normal;
color: #bf0606;
border-bottom:5px dotted #444444;
}

This is the culprit :) Just REPLACE it with the following code:

.post h3 {
margin-top: 5px;
font-size: 175%;
font-family: Georgia;
font-weight: Normal;
color: $(post.title.color);
border-bottom:5px dotted #444444;
}

Save your template. Now whatever you configure as your post title color in Template Designer, it will definitely apply.

P.S. Don't forget to give a link back to BetaTemplates. The link can be found at the bottom.

Hi! I followed these steps and everything worked perfectly but all of my previously added CSS code were deleted after I added these codes to html and now when I start to add them again....for centering post titles and date headers...nothing happens, CSS stop working.
